December Schedule

Hi Choir Families,

December is just around the corner, and that means that the Choir is getting ready for some of our most well-loved performances of the year!

Here is a quick rundown of the coming weeks:

Sunday, December 4th – Mimico Tree Lighting
What’s happening: The Choir opens the Tree Lighting every year by singing a few carols. Always well received, but often cold – be sure to bundle up! Don’t worry about shirts for this concert – each chorister will get a red scarf to wear during the performance so that they can stay warm and look like a team.
Arrival time: 4:15 p.m.
Performance: 4:30 p.m.
Place: Mimico square (South side of Lakeshore, just next to Birds and Beans coffee)

Thursday, December 8th – Rehearsal
What’s happening: In preparation for our Christmas in Mimico performance, our December 8th rehearsal will be extended to a 5:00 p.m. pick-up time.

Sunday, December 11th – Christmas in Mimico
What’s happening: This is our annual Community Carol Concert and Sing-along. Featuring the Mimico Children’s Choir and special guests from within our community, it’s a real crowd-pleaser!
Tickets for this show are available at a rate of $5 for child/student/senior and $10/adult.

Arrival time: 2:30 p.m.
Concert Begins: 3:00 p.m.
Place: Mimico Presbyterian Church, 119 Mimico Ave, Toronto ON M8V 2V8

Thursday, December 15th – Final Rehearsal, Rec Room concert, Party
What’s happening: During this regularly scheduled practice we will proceed from the Mimico Baptist Church to the Rec Room to put on a special performance, thanking them for their generous support of our choir. After, we will return to the Church for a small holiday party, with an extended pick-up time of 5:00 p.m. Please be sure to bring your choir shirt that day for our performance.

So definitely a lot of exciting things going on in just the next few weeks! I personally can’t wait to see all of the kids showing off all of their hard work, particularly at our Christmas in Mimico concert. We’re definitely looking forward to seeing you all there.

As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to give me a shout.

Thanks all!
